Rev. Dr. Maria Lynn serves as the Interim Director of Missions for Dover Baptist Association. Dr. Lynn has extensive experience in working with churches, mission involvement, and public school teaching. She earned her doctorate degree from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond; served as Director of Mission Involvement and then as the Interim Executive Director for WMU of Virginia; served as Interim Pastor, also Minister of Education for Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church; was involved in church planting. She has several years of teaching and administration in public schools.

Janiel E. Youngblood, a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia, obtained her Bachelor’s in Accounting from Virginia Union University. She later attended Strayer University, where she earned her MBA, and completed her thesis on the topic of Church Financial Management. Janiel has also completed Prosci’s Change Management Certificate Program and the Church Business Administration courses at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA.
Janiel received her call from the Lord to work in the ministry of church finance in 2000. Since then, she opened her consulting firm, Janiel Youngblood & Associates, LLC, and is often requested to present on topics that include budgeting, financial management and internal controls at various churches and other organizations such as Union Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, The School of Theology at Virginia Union University and at the Baptist General Convention Annual Finance Conference.
Janiel has served on the board of trustees at her former church, the board of other nonprofits and currently serves in the fitness and youth ministries at the church she currently attends in Richmond, VA, where she resides with her loving husband Robert and their two joyful daughters.
